Talgarno Primary School

Talgarno Primary School is located on the shores of Lake Hume, we are a small rural school within a commutable distance from Albury/Wodonga. We enjoy close and supportive links with our families and the wider community.

We are an active and proud member of the Upper Murray Learning Communities, which is made up of neighbouring cluster schools and our local high school, Tallangatta Secondary College. The staff consist of a full time teaching Principal, 1.0EFT Classroom Teacher, 0.34EFT Business Manager as well as having a music, art, Indonesian and library teacher. All staff take on positions of responsibility or leadership.

The school is strategically placed as the educational hub of the town, drawing from a few neighbouring towns and across the border into NSW. It relies heavily on collegiality of staff, students and community to develop continual professional development, shared expertise, delegated leadership and a strong collegial connectedness.

At Talgarno Primary School we pride ourselves on an exceptionally high standard of education for all students. With a student centred focus, Talgarno Primary School provides a nurturing environment to encourage learning and exploration that children in their early years of schooling really need.
